GULP is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our mobile and web vertical drama streaming applications as inclusive as possible.
1. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. GULP targets conformance with **WCAG 2.1 Level AA** standards across all public web pages, user dashboards, and player interactions.
2. Practical Steps Taken
To promote accessibility, GULP incorporates the following measures into our product design lifecycle:
- Color Contrast: Text elements are optimized to meet or exceed contrast ratio guidelines (minimum 4.5:1 ratio) against backgrounds.
- Screen Reader Support: Critical layout blocks, video posters, and interactive buttons use semantic HTML elements and ARIA descriptors to assist screen-reader users.
- Keyboard Cues & Navigation: Crucial workflows (such as authentication, cookie preferences, and basic settings) are designed to be navigably sound using standard tab controls and keyboard interactions.
- Mobile Viewport scaling: Branded apps and web views are designed to support native browser zoom and font scaling options without breaking application UI layouts.
- Focus Cues: Standard browser outline focus rings are retained or customized on links, buttons, and input fields to support visible focus navigation.
3. Limitations & Future Roadmap
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of GULP, some limitations may occur. For example, older video assets uploaded by third-party creators or heritage films may not support closed captioning (CC) or audio description. We are actively working with creators to encourage captioning of all new series.
